A Prayer for Protection

Quick answer: This page offers an original prayer for protection, ten real public-domain Bible verses in King James and World English translations, and free tools with no account needed.

There are times when fear creeps in, whether you are traveling, staying home alone, facing the dark of night, or feeling uneasy about your surroundings. Feeling unsafe can leave you on edge and searching for peace. This page offers a quiet refuge to help center your thoughts when you need reassurance.

Here you can read a short prayer asking for safety and courage. Beneath the prayer, the site displays ten real public-domain Bible verses in both the King James Version and the World English Bible. This website is entirely free, contains no ads, and never requires you to sign up or create an account.

The prayer

Father, I ask for your protective hand to be over me today and through the night. When fear or uncertainty surrounds me, grant me courage and a quiet heart. Keep watch over my home, my steps, and the people I love. Remind me that I am never truly alone because you are always near. Thank you for being my safe refuge. Amen.

If you would rather sit quietly than read a whole page, the prayer room lights a candle, shows one verse at a time, and lets you release a private prayer that never leaves your browser. For more verses on this theme, see our bible verses about fear.
